The room

Purpose built, down to the last brass detail

Nothing here landed by accident. The bones of an 1872 storefront, and everything inside it chosen so that walking through the door already feels like the start of the evening.

Private whiskey lockers
A wall of them, with your name on the brass. Keep your own collection here and pour from it every time you sit down.
A map of how we got here
The history of this corner of Boone County is on the walls — the years, the names and the buildings that led to the table you break bread at.
Tables out on Main Street
Umbrellas up when the weather is good, the courthouse across the way, and the same kitchen sending plates out the door.

The kitchen

80Years of
culinary
expertise

Four names on the line, one plate at a time

Steaks hand-cut in house, sauces reduced from scratch, a soup that changes because somebody decided that morning what was worth making. Eighty years of experience between them, spent on something truly special leaving the pass.

The bar

Top-shelf bourbon, and a list worth the detour

Craft cocktails built to order, a deep bench of whiskey and bourbon, and a curated wine list that leans toward bottles that actually go with a ribeye. Pull up a seat at the bar — the full menu is served there, and the fireplace is close.

Private events

Our Spaces

Rehearsal dinners, speaker programs, conferences, holiday parties, celebrations of life — in the Courtyard on Main, in William Tripp's Banquet Hall, and, opening this fall, in the 1830 Speakeasy. Fill out our form or call us today to speak with one of our in-house event coordinators.

The Courtyard on Main

Open air, umbrellas up, for as long as the season holds

Our open-air space right on Main Street, with the courthouse square across the way and rich history surrounding it. Perfect during the season for open houses, sales pitches, or just a get-together with old friends in the middle of the afternoon.

The one with room to spare

William Tripp's Banquet Hall

Open floor, high windows, room to move

An open-concept hall under a pressed-tin ceiling, with tall windows over Main Street and exposed brick down one wall — where the board room meets the reception and memories are made. House sound and a projector are already in the room, so a sales kickoff on Monday and a wedding reception on Saturday both work without anything being carted in. From plated dinners to buffets and stations, we handle it all.

The 1830 Speakeasy

Cocktails and small plates

Our newest room, and the quietest — low-lit, with a bar of its own and a working fireplace, built for a proper cocktail, a short list of appetizers, and conversation you can actually hear. It opens this fall by reservation only, Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., and the whole room can be taken privately: drinks before dinner in the hall, a client reception, an anniversary that wants candlelight instead of a banquet.

The list

Hear it from us before anyone else

A few nights a year are worth clearing the calendar for. Leave your name and we will tell you about them first — nothing else, and never more than the occasion deserves.

  • Wine dinners and whiskey tastings before they are announced anywhere else
  • First call on the seats that go in a day or two
  • Holiday seatings, while there are still tables left to give
